Immnuel Lutheran College - Junior School Hall

Schools
Maroochydore, QLD
Overview
This undertaking involved a significant overhaul of one of the original structures at the school, originally built as the school hall. With the school's expansion over time, the building had outgrown its original purpose, necessitating a redesign to better align with current needs. The renovation project entailed the removal of much of the steel framing and the addition of new framing to alter the roof design. Ascent was contracted to provide and install new roofing, along with custom fascia and 250mm half-round guttering. The project faced heightened complexity due to site constraints. Situated atop a hill, the school presented limited access for large trucks. Maneuvering 18m roof sheets up a narrow road and then craning them into position posed a logistical challenge, particularly as the school remained operational throughout the process.
